About

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.

~Winston Churchill

Helping you turn failures into triumphs

When you work with me, you will learn how to deal with stress, so you are not always feeling overwhelmed.

We will work to control your thoughts, so they help you instead of hold you back.

And we will work to see failures as opportunities, so that you could be rid of these inner thoughts once and for all…

“I should be able to hold it all together.”

“When will they realize I’m a fraud?”

“I should be to keep my marriage together.”

“I should be a better mother, father, wife, child… _________ (insert favorite self-critical remark here!).”

Life should not be this hard!

Here is what you can expect during our time together:

MONTH 1

In our first few weeks together, we will get to know each other while you learn the skills you need to take charge of your future. We will address:

  • Healthy ways to deal with stress to avoid feeling overwhelmed
  • The basic things you believe you need to have in your life to be happy and successful
  • How to talk to family, friends, business associates, and even yourself, so that you can articulate your needs without feeling inadequate

MONTH 2

After we build a relationship and you are comfortable talking with me, we will dig into the thoughts and fears holding you back from what you really want. We will work on:

  • How to tell a “fact” from a “fear,” so that you can put your energy toward problem-solving instead of worrying
  • How to overcome your fears so you feel more confident and motivated
  • How to problem-solve, make big decisions, and even take risks with confidence

MONTH 3

During this month, you will begin to see yourself as a whole person and not defined by your shortcomings. You will begin to see how awesome you are!

Finally, we will also make plans to maintain the changes you have made once you have accomplished your goals of therapy:

  • How to create balance in your life, so you have time for everything that brings you happiness while working toward future goals
  • Understand your strengths and weaknesses to enjoy a more fulfilling career and relationships with family and friends
  • How to see challenges and failures as opportunities, so you feel excited instead of discouraged

The 3 C’s of life:

Choice, Chance, Change.

You must make the choice,

To take the chance

If you want anything in life to change.

About Me

Through my career, my training and my own personal experiences, I’ve learned that our ability to see the best possibilities in life is essential to achieving emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy includes looking at the whole person and all that influences who you are – the physical, social, spiritual and psychological aspects of your life. I find that when all these areas are thriving, that is when you can connect with the changes that are necessary to live your most enjoyable life.

Years ago, when I struggled with self-doubt and couldn’t bounce back from disappointment, I felt like I was the only one feeling this way.

I will never forget the long sleepless nights worrying about everything and nothing at all. I had very little time for anything other than school, assignments and work.

I was lonely and anxious most of the time. I was not living the life I wanted. I began seeing a therapist who helped me see my failures as opportunity and worked with me to take the fear out of my unknown.

IT CHANGED MY LIFE!

It gives me great pleasure to be able to pay it forward. I genuinely believe that we all deserve the opportunity to live our best life. I’d love to help you start moving in that direction!

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Science and my master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, I spent several years working at non-profit agencies in Nassau County.

My positions and training focused on program development, mental health assessment and treatment, crisis intervention, stress management, abuse/neglect and trauma.

In 2014, I opened my private practice where I combine training and education with my passion for how the brain and body connection works.

Who am I outside the therapy office?

I have lived in New York my whole life. I love spending time with my husband, our three children, and our Labradoodle, Cody. I also enjoy spending time with friends and practicing yoga any opportunity I get.
