Are you overwhelmed and exhausted?

The demands of home, work or school can seem daunting. There seem to be so many ‘to-dos’ that there is no longer time for the things you enjoy with family and friends.

If you don’t check off each line of your list, you are hard on yourself – and only see your short-comings.

Imagine a life where you are happy, relaxed and confident.

There is a life where you are proud of your achievements and are excited about challenges –instead of discouraged. Imagine yourself enjoying your time with friends and feeling energized at home, all the while maintaining the high demands of work/school.

When you work with me…

You will learn how to deal with stress without feeling overwhelmed. We will work together to control your thoughts, so they help you instead of holding you back. You will also learn to advocate for yourself so that you feel heard and your needs are met.

How we start

We will start with the feelings, issues and or situations that brought you to therapy.

From there we go deeper, exploring the beliefs, values, behavioral patterns, and lifestyle choices that keep you where you are.

We then help you develop new roles in your life that help you accomplish your goal.

By working toward your goals, you not only alleviate your discomfort and problem-solve your current problems, but you also will be empowered with tools to deal with future concerns in a healthier manner.

By building awareness in how you deal with turmoil, you will learn how these thoughts shape you to be the person in your current relationships.

By building mindfulness in your priorities, values and how you deal with conflict, you will gain the ability to choose more appropriate coping mechanisms to bring you to a life that is more meaningful to you.

Month 1

In our first few sessions, you and I will get to know each other while you begin to understand what brought you to your current state and how to take charge of your future. You will learn:

  • Healthy ways to deal with conflict and stress so you are not always overwhelmed
  • What you need in your life to be content
  • How to talk to family, friends, peers and even yourself so you feel understood

Month 2

After we build a relationship, we will explore what is holding you back from what you want. We will explore:

  • How to identify what the true facts are so you can problem-solve instead of living in fear
  • How to understand fear and the role it plays in your current situation
  • How to problem-solve, make decisions and take risks with confidence or hesitation

Month 3

During this time, you will begin to see the changes you implemented earlier in our time together. We will work on maintaining the changes you have made so that they are with you long after we are done working together. During this time, we will look at:

  • How to create balance in your life so you have time for everything you that is meaningful to you
  • What your strengths and weakness are so you can apply that knowledge to your daily life, how you deal with family and friends, and at work/school
  • How to see challenges and failures as opportunities so that you are empowered and not discouraged
